Memorial Trees & Benches

Book of Remembrance

The books of remembrance, which are displayed in the Remembrance Chapel, provide a permanent and dignified memorial dedicated to your loved ones.

Two pages are allocated each day of the year and the books are displayed in a protective glass cabinet, so that the memorial entry can be seen on each anniversary.

The inscriptions and motifs are handwritten by artist craftsmen in the finest tradition of the medieval manuscripts.

Memorial trees

With Salisbury fortunate to have so many scenic parks and open spaces, many residents and visitors will have a favourite place in or around the city. If this is the case, we can help to arrange the planting of a tree in memory of a deceased friend or relative.

If you are interested in planting a tree in one of our parks or open spaces then please contact us – we can help identify the best planting locations as well as providing advice on the most suitable tree(s) for a particular park or space. We can also arrange for a commemorative plaque to be placed next to your tree and for a planting ceremony (we tend to plant trees during November and the early part of December).

Memorial benches

Alternatively, we can help organise for a memorial bench (including a plaque) to be put in one of our parks or open spaces.
